Yan-Kay Ho

Using her experience in scientific research, particularly in refactoring complex DNA circuits in bacteria, Yan-Kay is now working with Nuclera's assembly team in developing and optimising strategies to accurately construct large-scale DNA sequences. Prior to joining Nuclera, she studied Natural Sciences (MSci) and Synthetic Biology (PhD), both at Unversity College London. Her PhD project was in the development of bacterial circuits for the robust and efficient detection of transient sense-to-sense codon reassignment in order to explore alternative genetic codes. When not at Nuclera, Yan-Kay is probably found scaling climbing walls or hanging out with friends playing board games.
