Producing active, purified human DHODH: Unlocking the power of custom additives on the eProtein Discovery™ system

This application note showcases the eProtein Discovery™ system and the Custom Additive Initiative in addressing DHODH production challenges. By supplementing Cell-free Blends with custom additives such as FMN (a DHODH cofactor, essential for activity) and Brij®-35 (a surfactant known for stabilizing complex membrane proteins), conditions were identified to produce soluble, highly purified, and enzymatically active full length DHODH.
