Gordon Mcinroy
CTO and Co-Founder
Gordon McInroy is a founding member of Nuclera and its Chief Technology Officer, bringing over a decade of technical leadership to the company he helped establish while at the University of Cambridge in 2013. As CTO, Gordon led the development of the eProtein Discovery™ system, Nuclera's benchtop system that combines cell-free protein synthesis and digital microfluidics to deliver assay-ready proteins in as little as 48 hours. He subsequently served as Chief Operating Officer through the platform's commercial launch and growth phase, focusing on scaling operations, quality, and delivery, before returning to the CTO role to drive Nuclera's technical and product direction, including its expansion into end-to-end antibody expression and binding validation.
Outside of work, Gordon is an avid grower of all things delicious, with a particular passion for super-hot chilies and mushrooms. Gordon holds an MSc in Natural Sciences and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, where he met co-founders Michael Chen and Jiahao Huang.
